EuCPSP PAIN-OUT is a supplementary study to PAIN-OUT International.

PAINOUT International is an EC-funded research project that aims at improving postoperative
pain treatment outcomes by use of a toolkit consisting of 3 primary tools:

  1. a benchmark module that feeds back outcomes
  2. a clinical decision support system
  3. an electronic knowledge library

 

EuCPSP PAIN-OUT objectives are:

  • A pilot European study on CPSP Cronic PostSurgical Pain
  • 11 surgeries: – Thoracotomy, breast surgery, IHR, hysterectomy, colectomy, appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, THA, TKA, LL amputation, sternotomy
  • PAINT OUT questionnaire at D1
  • Follow up at 6 and 12 months: DN4 and BPI
  • Patient collect data on a website+ mail to remind patients
  • 8 languages available for both phases:
    • German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Dutch, Ukrainian
