Call for Studies open: 1st December 2021
Deadline for Application: 10th Feb 2022 (deadline extended)
Final Results to applicants: mid-March 2022
ESAIC members are invited to submit a Study Proposal in the field of Intensive Care.
The European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinical Trial Network (CTN) provides an infrastructure for institutions, clinicians and scientists to work collaboratively across Europe to improve the care of patients in the fields of anaesthesiology, intensive care, perioperative medicine, emergency medicine and pain medicine.
A CTN grant of up to € 30,000 is provided for Study costs. The grant is intended mainly to cover travel costs for steering committee meetings, use of a statistician, and possibly study coordination assistance at the institution of the chief investigator (CI). In general, no case money for participating centres is foreseen. In addition to the financial support, the ESAIC offers to the CI and steering committee members a valuable coordination support package: administrative, technical and logistic help for all phases of the study: preparation of documents, centre set-up and coordination, case report forms and cleaning of the data. ESAIC CTN is managed by the ESAIC Research Committee (ESAIC RC), and reports to the ESAIC Board for its actions and activities.
Any qualified member of an institution in one of the European countries that is represented in the ESAIC Council or from which the National Society is a Society Member of the ESAIC may apply.
Every physician can apply for support by the ESAIC CTN. Non ESAIC members who are health care professionals are entitled to present proposals in the field of intensive care research on an international level. Winner will have to become ESAIC members if it is not already the case.
