National Anaesthesiologists Societies Committee (NASC)

The NASC is a forum of one representative from each European National Society of Anaesthesiologists, which is a Society member of the ESAIC.  The nominees for the membership of the NASC can be the President of the National Society or an alternative delegate from the National Society.  The appointment of the NASC representative should be ratified by the executive body of the respective National Society of Anaesthesiologists, and he/she must be an Active ESAIC member. NASC members cannot hold a position on the Council of the ESAIC. The Chairperson of the NASC is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of the ESAIC with voting rights and cannot simultaneously hold another position on the ESAIC Board of Directors.

NASC seeks to establish close relationships between the different European National Societies of Anaesthesiologists, the European Board of Anaesthesiology (EBA) and the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA). It will encourage and assist in the formation of new Societies of Anaesthesiologists in Europe, and it will support the education and conduct of anaesthesiology in less affluent European countries. The NASC will meet at least each year at Euroanaesthesia, where it will discuss matters of mutual importance to all European National Societies of Anaesthesiologists.
